Based on 2023 wellness trends, it appears the global health and wellness industry is listening. From digestive and workplace wellness, to mood and mindfulness, to sleep health and sustainability, these are the wellness trends we’re watching.
#1 Earlier rather than later evenings: By being an early bird rather than a night owl, you will improve your sleep hygiene while benefiting digestion, reducing late-night snacking, and promoting sleep. Weight loss and fat loss goals.
#2 Workouts (from afar!): Even though most gyms and studios are open, many will still opt for at-home workouts in 2023.
#3 Movement Snacks: Also known as snack exercise, this fitness trend for 2023 is simply a fancy way of saying to prioritize your daily exercise by breaking your workouts into increments throughout the day. Just like a snack provides a short burst of fuel and energy in the form of food, a movement snack does the same thing in the form of movement.
#4 Low Impact Workouts: With a 61% increase in searches, it looks like stretching exercises are finally getting the attention they deserve. As are pilates, yoga and stretching.
#5 Mental health and well-being at work: This includes flexible and remote schedules, workplace fitness, nutrition education, and access to healthy foods. Additionally, hopefully there will be corporate mental health and stress management programs that emphasize things like meditation, mindfulness, work-life balance, and support (both inside and outside the workplace).
#6 A Plant-Based Boost: If you’re new to this lifestyle, companies are making it easier to go meatless with healthy (and delicious) plant-based alternatives to almost every food or meal.
#7 Gut and Immune Health: Whether you want to improve your overall health, reduce your risk of disease, support your weight loss goals, benefit your mood and brain, or beat bloating and ease digestion
#8 Foods for a good mood: Functional drinks, CBD, mental health cocktails and medicinal mushrooms are some of the many food trends of 2023 that benefit mood and brain health.
#9 Environmental sustainability: Environmental sustainability is another of the main reasons for next year. More emphasis on sustainable practices and products is expected in 2023.
#10 Personal care and beauty at home: While skin care as self-care was a trend last year, we are taking it a step further with general self-care and beauty tricks that are simple, effective and can be done from the comfort of your own home.
