Eight habits to preserve youth

Xuan-Mai Nguyen, leader of the research, said in a statement that the results suggest that adopting a healthy lifestyle is important not only for public health but also for personal well-being. So much so that even with a small change in our habits at 40, 50 or 60 years old, we will see benefits.

The formula of eight habits for a longer and healthier life is easy to apply, affordable and guaranteed and consists of being physically active, not being addicted to opioids, not having the habit of smoking, keeping stress at bay, having a good diet, not drinking excessive alcoholic beverages regularly, having good sleep hygiene and having positive social relationships, which is a proven key to well-being.

Furthermore, with this research it was predicted that those individuals who have all eight habits at the age of 40 will live an average of 24 years longer than men who do not have any. While for women, all eight habits in midlife were associated with 21 additional years of expected life compared to women who had none. So, if we refer to the tests, we do not lose anything by organizing ourselves to add these keys to longevity to our lives. It’s never too late to have a better life.
